This is where I'd like to keep the results of all of our voting and discussions for the new version of FA.
[Transition]
For existing members of FA, here are a few things to keep in mind.
---------------
1. The Universe will reset. This means the history, plot, and everything of the old FA will be effectively erased.
---------------
2. This means that all characters will be erased as well. We will keep all character sheets in an archived board, and you are more than welcome to remake the same character in the new FA, but their history and experiences cannot include events from the old FA.
---------------
3. The character options in the new FA will be slightly more restricted, meaning creating your old character exactly the same way may be difficult. The vast majority of characters in the new FA will be either gifted or human, with a few magic users allowed. Any other races such as vampires or werewolves must be created through this system. For example, a vampire would simply be someone who's been cursed by a magic user. Pretty much all races besides gifted and human will be heavily restricted, as they are meant to be extraordinarily rare.
[Leveling and Experience]
The level system of the old FA is being completely redone. As it stands right now, here's a rundown of the most likely new system.
---------------
1. There will not be traditional "levels". Instead, characters will have stats for Attack, Defense, Speed, and so on, and each of these stats can be leveled up individually. Each stat has its own experience value, and training - be it in a training thread or in a fight - will add experience to that, generally at a rate of one point per word. The stat will be the square root of the experience. For instance, if you have 400 Attack experience, your Attack stat will be 20.
This allows members to choose exactly how their character develops. They can train all stats evenly, or focus in fewer areas to increase them faster.
---------------
2. On top of that, the "levels" will be replaced with "ranks". This essentially represents the government's threat rating for that character, and will increase every five "levels" of the old system.
For example, if you're level 25 under the old system, you'd have just gotten a rank increase, and you'd get your next one at level 30.
Each time your rank increases, you get bonus experience to assign to whichever stat you like. This bonus is ten times the old "level". At the rank equivalent to the old level 30, you'll get 300 experience to divide up however you want.
---------------
3. When creating a character, you'll get a total of (probably) 3,600 experience. (I say probably because you'll get 400 per stat, and there will most likely be nine stats.) Half of this is mandatory, meaning you have to have at least 200 per stat. The rest is optional, and you can assign however you want. If you want to start out stronger in defense, assign more points to that. If you want to be completely even, simply go with 400 per stat.
[Setting]
The setting is still partially under debate. This section will be updated when a compromise has been made.
---------------
1. The new FA will begin with a strange event suddenly granting several thousand people superpowers worldwide. These people will have to learn to use their abilities, cope with the hatred and fear of the humans, and try to keep their life from changing too much.
Or, you know, they could try to take over. Either one.
---------------
2. The location will largely be set in the various boroughs of New York City, with some activity in other cities as well.
