Alrighty then! This here's the guide to character creation on FA!
Let's start with the Character Application form.
Seems simple enough, right?
Name and Age
Self-Explanatory
Height, Weight, and Gender
We do check your character's BMI, so make sure it's realistic. If they're deathly ill, we'll let you know.
Appearance
You can use a picture, type up a description, or both. For descriptions, please go into a reasonable amount of detail.
Personality
Tell us what your character is like, what they're afraid of, and what their morals are. If you truly don't know yet, that's okay. Just take the character for a test run in the Non-Canon section to flesh them out. Minimum 100 words.
Background
Tell us about the character's history. Where were they born? Why are they here? What was discovering their abilities like, or do they not know yet? Minimum 250 words.
Roleplay Sample
It doesn't have to be about this character, just give us a sample of your writing. Not required for existing members. Minimum 250 words.
Abilities
Whatever your character can do, explain it in detail. We might ask you to clarify here and there, but it's just so there aren't problems later on.
Breaking Point
Your character's losing the battle. The bad guy is about to finish the job when suddenly, he says or does something that really gets to your character. As he's about to deal the final blow, your character grabs his hand, breaks his fingers one by one, and brings the bad guy to his knees. The bad guy's just triggered your Breaking Point. Maybe he threatened to kill your wife, or broke your prized hot dog eating trophy, or called you ugly. Whatever it is, it's your character's Badass Button, and now the bad guy is in for a rude awakening.
So what is it? What's the one thing that could most anger your character, unleashing the strength and fury they didn't know they had?
One time use. A new Breaking Point may be chosen one month after its use.
Starting Stat Exp
Your characters can train whichever stats they choose. You may keep them all even, or focus more on defense, speed, whatever you like.
Starting out, you get 3,600 experience to distribute among the different stats. There are nine of them, so if you keep it completely even, that's 400 in each stat. There's a minimum of 200 in each stat, and technically a maximum of 2,000. Aside from that 200 minimum, you can spread these points out however you like.
The resulting stat will be the square root of the experience. To make things easier, download the FA Character Creation Helper here.
And that's it. Whenever you're ready, copy the code above and create a new thread in Character Creation with the title as your character's name. Just post the filled out form there and you should have a response in no time.
