Name: Tjaard vos Rotmensen
Age: 23
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 135 lbs
Gender: Male
Race: Wizard
Appearance:
Tjaard is albino, so his entire appearance is very pale and light. His hair has no pigment in it at all, and is completely white, the same goes for his eyelashes. Although, to offset his strange appearance some he has used a spell to darken his eyebrows, since he used to get teased about having none when he was a child. His hair is medium-length and wavy, cut to just above his shoulders and tapered shorter towards the back. His bangs are cut straight, but have grow out a little choppy, stopping at his eyebrows. His eyes are equally devoid of pigment and very pale blue in color.
He's very graceful, his body is one that was clearly built to move and be fluid. The way he moves is like a predator, and this is only enhanced by the sleekness of his build. His entire appearance is narrow: his arms, legs, waist, face.
Tjaard isn't bad looking, his features all together are just a little odd.
Personality:
In three words; manipulative, narcissistic, and two-faced.
At first, Tjaard comes across as polite and well-mannered, if not a little too flirtatious and a just a tad bit too touchy. He makes a point to take an interest in others from the moment he meets them and will always make an effort to get to know a person better.
But it's not for any sort of benevolent purposes. He likes manipulating, twisting people for his own satisfaction. Nothing gives him greater pleasure than watching other people crash and burn.
He rarely feels guilt because he can't seem to understand the gravity of the things he does. One small weakness of Tjaard's is that he does not always get human emotion, he only understand that it's entertaining to create situations where others crash and burn.
This particular wizard is also extremely promiscuous. He loves nothing more than the loving company of another man and a woman, but only for the period of a single night. He has very little interest in actual relationships because he is only interested in people he believes are as "special" and "interesting" as he is, which is a rare find.
Background:
Tjaard was born the bastard child, from a one night stand his mother had with a wizard. He grew up with just his mother and they lived a fairly comfortable life until the age of seven, when his mother finally got hooked to a man with a boring name, Charlie.
Charlie and Tjaard got along...very well in some ways, and horribly in others. But in the end it was probably this man that turned Tjaard into the narcissistic, anti-social being he is today.
Roleplay Sample:
(An excerpt from a roleplay in which Tjaard is a ghost haunting an old house ;
Tjaard watched as Lucien moved about, searching for the light, waiting until he noticed it in the hall. A wide smile spread across his lips as the little blonde boy finally caught sight of it. Watching as he approached, he remained unmoving as Lucien grabbed the light, hand going directly through Tjaard's boot. He hadn't meant to break the light, but it was a nice added bonus.
Lucien's reaction was not quite as interesting as he'd originally hoped, but it meant he could have more fun later. Regardless, he definitely had the boy scared at least a little bit. Perhaps he was the type who could not sleep without his precious night light to keep away the evil spirits. That was an amusing thought.
As his new guest returned to his bed, Tjaard wandered back into the room and slipped into the desk chair, leaning against his hand. From that spot, he watched Lucien in bed for a moment before quickly growing bored and getting up to go haunt the house elsewhere. This kid was just not quite being interesting enough. But he knew he could change that come morning if he messed with a few things during the course of the night.
He was in the middle of rummaging through boxes in the living room when he heard footsteps, heading for the kitchen. Tjaard made his way to the sound, spotting Lucien putting together a sandwhich. He eyed it for a moment, longing for a bite. How long had it been since he'd had a jelly sandwhich? Well, honestly not that long because he'd only died a decade or so ago. But human food had probably been the second most thing he missed about being alive; the first being sex of course.
Dismissing his thoughts of food, Tjaard focused on the lovely task of scaring his newest houseguest. He slowly made his way over to Lucien, snaking an arm around his waist so the human would feel the biting cold of his presense. "Couldn't sleep?" He asked, allowing his voice to remain faint, barely a whisper. A wide smile spread across his face; he was looking forward to Lucien's reaction
Other (Abilities, etc):
Because of his Albinism, he has extremely poor eyesight. He can read well enough, but anything more than a foot away from him begins to blur. He sees the world mostly in fuzzy shapes and colors.
The item he channels his magic through is a curved dagger, more specifically through a small amethyst inlaid in the hilt. He does not feel the need to carry any other weapons because he has far too much confidence in his own abilities.
Breaking Point:
If he were to be forced, somehow, to feel remorse and guilt for the things he had done to another person.
