Name: Weaver Hawthorne
Age: 20
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 133 pounds
Gender: Female
Race: Human - Illusionist
Appearance: Weaver could be described as willowy; for a girl, she's tall, and lanky. Her frame isn't athletic, in fact she has almost no muscle on her. She's agile, but has almost no endurance. Her skin is tan, with a dark tint to it that could almost be called olive. Her hair is a light shade of brown that's only just darker than her skin, and reaches just above her elbows. Her face is heart-shaped, and though she's pretty enough, there's nothing that really stands out. Her eyes are an interesting shade of murky hazel, but don't really stand out even when she chooses to wear eyeliner. If anything, her smile is her most defining feature. It's wide, welcoming, and stretches from ear to ear.
Personality: Weaver's actions are all pretty much controlled by a need for the feeling of independence. She needs to know that her actions have an effect on everything around her, even if it's only to a certain extent. Because of this, her behavior is very erratic and unpredictable so that nobody can manipulate her or tell what she'll do next. She's actually quite analytical, but almost never allows herself to take the time to reflect on anything for long. In stead, she allows herself to be guided by instinct and a vague sense of self-preservation. She doesn't like consistency and almost never follows a routine. Though she's good with people and knows how to push buttons and get reactions, she has something of a superiority complex and finds it difficult to really relate to or otherwise like almost everyone she meets.
Background: Before Weaver was born, her parents were two con artists. Though they tried to walk the straight and narrow for a while when their daughter was born, Anastasia succumbed to illness and Arthur, unable to deal with his wife's death, reverted back to a life of crime. He dragged Weaver into it too, teaching her the tricks of his trade. Eventually they learned of Weaver's abilities, and to Arthur, this meant only that he could start organizing more complex heists around his daughter's newfound talent.
Weaver's life pretty much revolved around her father until she was about thirteen. Pleasing her dad was her highest priority and she eventually grew to resent the way her father only seemed to love her when she was helping him get money. When she was seventeen, he was killed attempting an elaborate scheme involving robbing a bank. Weaver, whose education had been subpar to say the least, was taken to an orphanage where she attended school for a year before she became a legal adult and like her father, went back to the only thing she knew: stealing. Part of her would sort of like to be able to lead a normal life: go to college, marry, have children. But she figures that she can't go back to that now, and the idea of having to start up some kind of routine like everybody else in the world is just repulsive to her.
Roleplay Sample: If Weaver had ever known a life other than that of crime, she would probably want to be a ballet dancer. The precision of all of their movements, the total control they had over their own bodies, was entrancing and beautiful. She often tried to replicate their movements, but didn't have the innate knack for knowing exactly where every part of her was at any particular point in time. She was too instinctive and careless to be able to be called poised or graceful, but that wasn't really necessary when the easiest tactic in the crowded streets of New York was bumping into people and taking their money.
So maybe it wasn't artistic, and it didn't really require too much technique, but it was sure as hell effective. She chose her targets haphazardly, today following a set of hazy morals and only taking from the people who looked like they could spare the change. To her, morality, like the truth, was something that could be bent and shaped to her will and convenience, and today it made her feel good to know that she was taking money from a bunch of rich people. They couldn't need it more than her, right?
Other (Abilities, etc):
1-10: Able to create basic mental illusions (predominately visual), but only in her general area.
11-20: Able to create larger-scale mental illusions, with better control over the senses.
21-30: Able to produce basic spectral illusions, but only near her person and very uncomplicated.
31-49: Mental illusions have become more powerful, spectral ones are now more convincing and easier to maintain.
50+: Size and realism of illusions slowly increases from here up.
Breaking Point: Weaver is basically all about being in control of the situation she's in, so if she ever feels like she's being completely manipulated by someone or otherwise has absolutely no control over her situation, she'll lose what judgment she has and will basically go berserk to the point of seriously injuring herself and others just to assert the fact that she has control over her life.
