(Was unsure if you had your poll resolved, but as it is time for bed I decided to post this. If denied I do have other ideas, this one just hit the spot XD )
Name:Chiraisu Kisaragi
Age:20
Height:4'2
Weight:65 lbs.
Gender:Female
Race:Elemental (Lightning)
Appearance:While in her true, elemental form, Chiraisu vaguely resembles that of her physical form. However, the most notable thing about her elemental form is her eyes are a lustrous blue that seem to glow along side the lightning that courses her astral body. In her physical form, her body seems rather small and childish, as if not quite that of a women. Her hair is a curly blonde that lengths just past the shoulders. She is of fair skin, and often dislikes the sun simply because its too bright and she burns easily.
Personality:Quiet and temperamental, she is easily irritated and is quick to spark. Despite that however, she has begun to realize the merits in keeping herself calm and making friends. Though at times, it is still hard to stray from the nature of her elemental's affinity. Unexpectedly, or perhaps because of this, she has shown a much more supportive side in recent years.
Perhaps a quirk of her unease about her parents death, and her multiple human foster homes, she is very self conscious her elemental form, feeling so uncomfortable about her abnormality to other races that she almost hates it. This being said, she attempts to live life almost exclusively in physical form, blending in as best she can and wanting to just be normal, whatever that was.
Background:Despite being American in origin, Chiraisu was raised in Japan for the first 4 years of her life before her and her parents were forced to move back to the United States. Her name, written in Japanese uses the kanji of blood for Chi and the kanji for the element lightning for Rai, vaguely meaning Blood of Lightning. Or as Chiraisu herself likes to think, Bloody Lightning, though this isn't technically accurate.
Chiraisu never knew what drove her parents from their home, as they never lived long enough to tell the tale. Losing them at an early age, she never really had a strong attachment to them, but she would laugh to herself cynically at being an example of a clichéd orphan.
Ever since she was seven years old, she used her newly developing powers as an elemental to fend for herself after escaping from a foster home. It wasn't like it was a bad foster home, but Chiraisu never felt right there, never fit in, and more importantly, she couldn't really reveal her secret of being an elemental for she was unsure of how the family would react to someone who wasn't human like they were.
Its also quite possible that her inability to make friends, or seek any kind of companionship may be due to her hard childhood, bouncing around foster families, only to live life on the streets, using her abilities to steal clothing from houses as well as other necessities of life.
Roleplay Sample: Methodically, almost automatically Chiraisu worked. Opening the doors of humans' houses has become basically second nature to her by now. She had watched this family for days now, scanning to see if they had anything of need to her, and surprisingly, they did. The couple had a daughter roughly my size, which left me ecstatic since I hadn't had new clothes in months. Saddening though it was, my mood was easily shifted when I walked their house, peering in room to room, checking out the place. The last room in the very back upstairs was their daughter's. If it wasn't obvious, her walls were pink, she had a fancy laptop, that was pink, and a really nice looking bed. I found my way over to her closet and looked inside. Jeans, t-shirts and more jean- uh.. There was a dress in the very back that I had never seen her wore and took it out.
I giggled to myself as the humor struck me, I'd seen this kind of dress before, it was really big in places such as Japan and to a lesser degree, here in America too. I believed they called it 'Cosplay' to dress up in such attire.
This dress in particular tailored to the “Gothic Lolita” appeal and looked absolutely shocking. I took it, along with two or three pairs of jeans and a few of her purple t-shirts, as it was my favorite color, placed them in my acquired duffel bag and exited the premises, making sure to lock it back and turning their security system back on. Lucky for them I've gotten better at not completely frying the circuitry now.
Other (Abilities, etc):Ability to generate raw electrical energies, store and drain electrical currents, read and manipulate electromagnetic waves, move or control electrically conductive materials, and the ability to manually create lightning using ion charged polarities. (Not all of this can or should be inherently availible from the get-go)
Breaking Point: The thought of dieing is what Chiraisu fears the most. She has had life so hard, and because of that, her need to live, to exist in this world is uncommonly stronger than those who've not understood what it is to be close to death on a daily basis. If an enemy scares her into believing she could die at any second, or if her opponent has such overbearing strength that she feels death is inevitable, it's quite possible that she could lose all control of herself.
Some people say a man is truly dangerous when they've nothing to lose. But they never spoke of those that could lose everything.
