Name: Sophiel (sew-fee-uhl) AKA Soph (sew-ff) or Sophi (sew-fee)
Age: 521 (Appearance-wise about 20-ish )
Height: 6' 3''
Weight: 145
Gender: Male
Race: Angel
Appearance:
Personality: Sophiel is the calm, mild-mannered type. It goes without saying he's nice, and tries to see the good in everyone. He somewhat has a 'mother hen' complex, to the point where he feels like he needs to protect everyone around him and keep them out of harms way.
His calm demeanor, when broken, can turn to a very icy anger. Never one to get overly anger unless really provoked he has mastered the art of calm anger. If others are around when he's being angered he tries to underplay it and will do anything to resolve the problem before someone sees him angry. Of course it would take quite a lot to really anger him, so it's not something that happens often.
Being an angel he will always look for the peaceful way out of a situation, if possible, but he's not dumb. He'll know a lost cause when he sees one and isn't afraid to sometimes deliver some divine intervention.
Background: Most of Sophiel's life was spent living in Heaven, only occasionally going down to Earth and only with other angels accompanying him. During his stays he would only remain in his human form, but work small miracles to make people happy, usually just granting wishes anonymously or healing injured people.
As much as he loves his home in Heaven he'd always dreamed of one day being able to stay on Earth for a longer amount of time and make a real difference. His ideal world would have everyone living in peace, but since he knows this can't be achieved he'd rather just go one step at a time helping as many people as he can.
That's why he finally decided to go down to Earth and stay there for an undetermined amount of time and stay until he felt he was either no longer needed or simply felt too homesick to stay any longer. He plans to live as a traveler, basing his travels off rumors and where people seem to need help.

(Alright so this doesn't look like a bunch of gibberish here's the background for this little sample. It takes place in a zombie apocalypse and it's the meeting of two zombie hunters who will eventually become partners in the zombie killing business. This is part of their first conversation occurring after a joint battle against zombies. My character is Isu Kin who has long blonde hair (only mentioning this because it's important to this particular scene). He's responding to some questions as well as asking one of his own to the other man, who has an eyepatch (again, only mentioning this so this excerpt will make more sense). )
Rolling his eyes as Zander said the weapons fell from the sky Isu thought a frown would be on his face for a comment like that. Except he was smiling while he rolled his eyes. It was kind of funny, and he couldn't believe it was so easy to just joke around like this. Not that he didn't like it, no he loved the jokes. Even in the mist of something so out of the ordinary, getting into trivial fights when they should be worrying about the zombies milling around. Zombies were far from his train of thoughts right now, things like that just slipped away when he actually had someone to talk to. Maybe he should have them more at the forefront of his mind, considering the guns he was holding, the machete that was being wiped of blood, and previously moving corpses back to their proper rigor mortis. However it'd been a long time since he'd had a chance to get away from all of that and talk to someone else. That's probably why he was enjoying their banter, that's what Isu was telling himself. Not for any other reason, just because he was looking for human contact. Otherwise he told himself, he probably wouldn't get along with someone who was acting the way the one-eyed man was. That wasn't going to stop him from sticking around if he got the chance, he could always leave if he wanted to, and maybe having someone around would be just as good as he thought it would be. No matter who it was.
"Interesting…some old guy who had a lot of weapons. Heh, I bet he was the type of person to have some of those old war stories or something. Everyone seems to have those, even if they weren't in the war!" Laughing a little bit he stretched and leaned himself back against the van. It seemed like their conversation would be continuing out here. Ah so that question had come up. It usually did, and to be honest Isu wasn't surprised by it in the least. After all, not many guys had hair as long as his. A long time ago he wouldn't even have answered the question, but he'd long gotten over that. "You know, everyone asks that. Is it really that unusual for me to like my hair being long?" Once again laughing he shook his head a bit in a joking manner. Of course the real reason he had his hair long wasn't just because he liked it long, the true story was something he couldn't laugh through. Taking a deep breath and clearing his mind he started to tell what he called 'The story of why my hair's long: Only told to those I know very well and trust.' So why was he telling this man? They'd just met, he didn't trust him yet to be perfectly honest, and this was a personal story. However…some voice deep inside him said that even though this man seemed insane, he could hear this story. Besides, it's not like it could be used against him since they were just two strangers living in a zombie apocalypse, and there was no one the other man could run and tell this story to.
"I had a little sister. Her name was Anya, and when my parents went out I'd usually be the one to look after her. She had really long hair and I'd braid it for her while we were together. Everyone loved her hair. They always told her how pretty it looked, and how they loved the braids. She'd always proudly proclaim that her big brother had braided them." Biting his lip slightly a small smile grew on his face, albeit a sad one. "Well anyway, one day while I was watching her we went out to get ice cream. I…wasn't paying enough attention to her, and she…got hit by a car." Letting out a long sigh he rubbed the back of his head, it didn't make him so sad now as it did back when he was younger, back when he still blamed himself for what had happened. "If you couldn't guess, she didn't make it. So, to honor her memory I've been growing my hair out since. I used to do it out of guilt, but now I do it just because I want to remember all the good times I had with her. I'm not the type to mope around about the past." Putting his smile back on he turned to look at the other man. He'd just realized his attempt at a conversation had actually worked, and that made him feel pretty damn good. Now of course, he had to ask the question that he was sure a lot of other people had asked to the man next to him. He'd just spilled one of his most personal stories, so he was guessing it was alright to ask a question like this of the other man. He figured it was just kind of like the whole hair question with him. "So I'm sure you can guess my next question, but how'd you get that eye patch?"
Other (Abilities, etc):
Heal: Pretty self-explanatory, he has basic healing abilities and can heal small wounds. Larger wounds are possible for him to heal but it takes more energy and should really be handled by someone else.
Feather Blades: If needed he can shoot feathers from his wings as razor-sharp blades at enemies.
Shield: He can create shields to protect either him or others. The strength of the shield depends on how concentrated he is and how big the area of the shield he's trying to maintain.
Restore: Using a song he can restore dead land or dead plants to their former glory. This can be used to turn a dead waste land into a beautiful field or forest (of course the forest would obviously take a whole lot of energy and be pretty difficult) or a failing farmer's land and turn it into something more workable and profitable.
