Name: Loa
Age: 94, according to itself. Truthfully, it could be up to a decade off.
Height: Varies
Weight: Varies
Gender: Varies, has no mental preference
Race: Kirbi
Appearance: When possessed by Loa, the host's blood changes color. Humans usually have blue blood that turns red when it reaches oxygen, for example. Loa-hosts have black blood that turns purple when it reaches oxygen. Due to the excitation of the blood, the host's now-black veins stand out, and their skin takes on a slightly darker, more 'undead' tone.
This infection of the blood takes around 24 hours to fully manifest.
For obvious reasons, the rest of the appearance varies.
Personality:
Loa is a very social creature, and it wishes it could settle down... but it can't, so it went partially insane a few decades back, finding meaning where there was none, doing stupid stunts, getting people killed... eventually, the tally came to Destiny: 1, Loa: Screw your stupid rules. Now it stumbles through other peoples' lives on a whim, ruining one life while fixing the next, claiming that it has some idea what its doing, and that this is all part of a huge, indescript divine plan. Its main personality trait is now bipolarity, so there's basically no telling what it'll do next unless you know what mood it's in.
With access to a moirail, (a person who can calm it down and keep it in check, like a very protective friend) Loa can be 'tamed'. While still biploar and twitchy in this state, it will try to do more good than evil, see more appeal to logic, and attempt to live healthily.
Background:
Loa was born on pure instinct, without a purpose, only knowing that it had to keep moving. This irritated it quite a bit, considering it prefered to stay and have a chat once in a while. Sometimes it did, that just got its host put in counseling. Still, it had things to learn. It waited, it dealt.
About fifty years in, it was tired of dealing. It experienced what humans would call a mental breakdown, and it hasn't once been 100% sane since. Its mental state began to vary. It was then that it started searching human religions for something that it could apply to its life, to give it meaning, but there was nothing to find... so it made its own religion, based on the concept that stirring up the world was okay, encouraged, and good, as long as your interactions were roughly 50% good and 50% bad. It was less of a religion and more or a basic set of guidelines to keep it sane. It accosted random people, as always, and it cared even less than usual. Places it inhabited spread rumors of 'the crazy bug' going around, reviving the ancient idea that mental illness could be conveniently transmitted, jumping between people like an evil spirit.
Now, it has settled to a slightly quieter life, keeping itself sane by slowly and methodically hopping between lives, always spoiling one, saving another, spoiling one, saving another... sometimes not in order, but it does try.
After all, if it wrecked the balance, it would probably flip.
Roleplay Sample:
I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.
Here they are all standing in a row.
Breaking point: If Loa were to perform some massive act of evil (ex. destroying an entire populated city) or massive act of good (ex. curing a major disease), it would be suddenly compelled to do the opposite in a fit of psychotic rage. However, it would be less likely for Loa to flip out about doing good than evil.
Other: L. Loa, or Loa Loa, is a type of parasitic worm. Loa didn't know this at the time, it named itself after certain Voodoo beliefs, but the name bonus remains.
