Name:Taika Noel Herme
Age: 17
Height: 5'7
Weight: 140 lbs
Gender: Female
Race: Sorceress, specifically a Witch
Appearance:
Personality: Taika is quite bookish, spell book almost always in hand when not busy. She also is quite spaced out while focusing on something else, so don't approach her while she's reading her spell book or you may be the test subject for the latest spell. When she's not concentrating on something, she is quite peaceful, seeming almost lackadaisical. While she may SEEM that way, she is not. She is motivated, determined and stubborn. She just doesn't really show that side because why would you need to? She has a slight superiority complex, thinking of herself as above humans. Not that she doesn't treat humans like people, she just views most of them as substandard. She seems to think that all humans have gifts, but most are too lazy to use them.
Background: Taika had a normal background. Well, as normal as it gets for a witch. Only daughter of a witch and warlock,
never exposed to public school, or private school for that matter. Home schooled all of her life, acing most subjects. Really, quite uneventful. Then, one day she found out of the dragon balls. With permission of her parents, she has set out to find all seven, but she's not quite sure what she'll wish for. She's sure she'll find something worth wishing for along the journey.
Roleplay Sample:The young girl opened her bright blue eyes, riddled with tears. The snow fell lightly on her face. ‘I am going to die. I am going to die here.’ The young girl thought as the chilling white snow fell on her face, which was paled in fear. Why would the runt of District 12 survive this round? The one full of non-careers as strong as careers. And Careers that seemed superhuman. And here she was, the runt of district 12. She twiddled a pale curl in her fingers. It was so….cold here. She doubted she would even survive the first night. Yeah, she could run fast, but so can the Career that would thrust the spear at her.
Mari felt sick, tired and hungry. She should’ve eaten more. She should’ve slept more. She shouldn’t have volunteered. Why did she? She knew she had no chance of surviving here. She was one of those girls who needed a couple of jackets at 50 degrees. That didn’t even compare to here. The entire earth seemed to be covered in mountains of the bright white snow.
She quickly scanned the Cornucopia. She had to try. Or at least look like she was. There were a few little backpacks near the ends. She could grab a few and run. Try her luck and see if there was a weapon inside. Or just be on the defense. Seeing as she was only in the 15th games, there were probably THOUSANDS of techniques nobody had tried yet. She could try looking meek, then trying to attack. She almost laughed, looking at some of the people who surrounded her. They were bigger mountains then the snow. She imagines her, all 4’6 of her, going up to some of them, who had to be over 6 feet, and trying to kill them. Even if they were sleeping, they could roll over and crush her or something. And be woken up by the cannon.
The cannon that would boom if she stepped off of the platform now. The cannon that would boom a few seconds after a spear would be thrown at her. A cannon that booms whenever somebody died. She took a gulp. The gong would ring soon. The gong that meant the bombs had been deactivated. The gong that meant life or death. She would have to run. Very fast, the second the gong rang. Or her window of opportunity would close. And her life would shortly follow. Going out like a candle being blown out. She knew that her death was inevitable to the Capitol citizens. And probably to the Districts as well.
So she would not go without a fight. She would claim as many lives, pull as many heartstrings, get as many sponsors, and make as many alliances as she could. Maybe somebody other than her District would shed a tear for the runt of District 12.
She tensed. The others seemed to tense as well. They knew the gong would ring soon. Mari leaned over as far as she could without falling. She bit her lip. She was scared. She repeated her plan, over and over. ‘ Grab a few backpacks, and run.’ She was halfway through the tenth time when the gong rang. She ran. The bloodbath at the Cornucopia had begun.
