Name: Theodore (Teddy) Cross
Age: 16
Height: 5’10
Weight: 160 lbs
Gender:Male
Race:Human (Gifted)
Appearance: Curly brunette locks lie in a tangled mess atop Teddy’s head. His only means of taming it is by running his fingers through it every now and again. Warm, hazel eyes peek out from under the curls falling over his face. A long scar runs down the left side of his face, marking one fight between he and the U.S.R.P.C. which he was lucky enough to escape, although just barely. Being on the run, his clothing usually remains the same. It consists of a ragged, torn pair of jeans, patched up and worn out. An old T-shirt is covered by a baggy sweatshirt, which is under a tan coat. A pair of dirty, gray sneakers is placed on his feet. He is usually found with a black backpack slung over his shoulder, filled with the bare necessities of survival.
Personality: Teddy tends to keep to himself. The death of his mother caused this personality trait, and ended the old, gleeful Teddy. No matter what he suffers, Teddy does not give up. His determination and independence has kept him alive since he began life on his own. Rather than letting people in, Teddy prefers to keep secrets so to not bring any harm to anyone with his troubles. Teddy tends to be hard on himself. He doesn’t allow himself to let things go, and he makes himself constantly feel guilty. However, despite his humble nature, a deep vengeance burns inside for the death of his mother. He never lets anyone witness this aspect of his character. He is willing to put himself in the face of danger for someone else, even a stranger. By going out of his way to help, people tend to like Teddy. He’s friendly and is too sweet to be rude to anyone.
Background: Around the age of 12, Teddy began to develop his ability, his “gift.” With this came dire consequences. He kept his ability to himself, afraid of the outcome of revealing them. However, one fateful day Teddy found his whole world under attack. He would come to find out that the U.S.R.P.C. was behind the ambush, as was someone he never would have expected to be. His mother perished in the attack, even after Teddy tried to protect her by using his powers. This fight was what scarred him on his face, making the day permanently with him. Over time, he learned it was his father who had sold Teddy out; he had been working for the U.S.R.P.C. Teddy fled everything that day; his friends, his school, his life. He left to protect anyone else he loved from harm. He blames himself for his mother’s death, because it was he they were after. He also set out to seek vengeance on those who killed his mom, although he would never admit it to anyone.
Abilities:
Teddy is gifted with the power to create weather. That is, he can shoot out weak bolts of lighting, create rain out of midair, cause miniature tornadoes, etc. However, his powers are limited due to his lack of training. The strength of the weather he is creating is also affected by the mood he is in. Therefore, rain is increased if he is upset, lightning stronger if he is in a rage, etc. Whatever weather he produces is small, not anything from the sky. He can only form small, imitations of weather; he can’t control the weather caused by nature.
